1. POSITION VACANT: Media Outreach Manager, CSR Foundation, RCP, Navi Mumbai
2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a leading Indian CSR organization driving inclusive development through impactful programs in Rural Transformation, Education, Health, Women Empowerment, Disaster Management, Urban Renewal, and Arts, Culture & Heritage in collaboration with public, private, and community partners.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Media Outreach Manager shall be responsible for the following,
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Build excellent media relationships with journalists specializing in Foundation’s pillars of work;
(2) Develop press releases and media partnerships;
(3) Conceptualize & organize media workshops;
(4) Connect Foundation’s spokespersons for quotes, stories, blogs on relevant themes;
(5) Focused media outreach on Foundation-related development concerns;
(6) Mainstream / development media partnership for steady stream of thematic media pickup;
(7) In-depth articles, thought pieces in development sector media platforms;
(8) Foundation leadership and thought leadership articulated in generic media pickup and footprint;
(9) Foundation leadership and thematic experts featured in external events with streamlined guidelines on external participation;
(10) Media visits, workshops linked to key projects and thematic media events;
(11) Potential awards and public forums, presence to be actively tracked to establish Foundation’s work and contribution.
Scope of Work:
People Management Scope (Range of no. of Direct Reports): No
Geography Coverage: HO with travel to field sites

(1) Internal programme teams
(2) Journalists
(3) External event / award organizers
(4) Programme leaders
(5) Internal communication teams
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Applicant must have master’s degree in media, communication, social science or related fields. Additional certifications would be preferred.
Experience:
(1) 8+ years in the print/visual/online media;
(2) Experience in development sector, preferably in Journalist / PR;
(3) Experience in Media engagement in the development sector an asset; (Desirable)
(4) Well-networked with the mainstream and development media writing space. (Desirable)
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Knowledge of key social concerns of organization’s focus areas;
(2) Progressively increasing experience in media, communication, and in development;
(3) Knowledge of working in Public Relations and media engagement;
(4) Excellent writing, editing and creative skills;
(6) Media relations experience and network of social sector journalists;
(7) Ability to work with different formats and with a keen eye for detail;
(8) Ability to work effectively with senior leadership;
(9) Ability to engage with creative teams and internal stakeholders for time-bound deliveries.
5. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
