Founded in 1949 in Austria, SOS Children’s Villages began its operations in India in 1964. Registered as an independent, non-governmental and not-for-profit organisation, SOS Children’s Villages of India (SOS CVI), works for the holistic development of parentless children, women and children belonging to vulnerable families.
Over the past 60 years, the organization has reached over 65,000 children through 32 SOS Children’s Villages and 28 community projects in India, positively impacting over 83,000 lives. It continues to provide children without parental care or at the risk of losing it, a value chain of quality care services that goes beyond childcare alone, to ensure comprehensive child development as well as ways to strengthen communities and families as a preventive measure in the fight against abandonment and social neglect.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Senior Manager-Corporate Partnerships, the Assistant Manager-Corporate Partnerships (AM-CP) shall be responsible for increasing face-to-face solicitations with corporate donors to meet the fundraising objectives of SOS CVI and ensuring end-to-end donor servicing.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Responsible for achieving fundraising targets; personally initiate corporate tie-ups in the assigned area, with special focus on closing deals/donations and achieving set targets as per the objectives of the organisation.
(2) Monitor achievement of fundraising targets and obtain information on best practices/success stories from team members to build capabilities and increase fund generation.
(3) Coordinate internal communications and awareness of the organisation’s direction, mission, aims and activities.
(4) Conduct surveys of potential markets for fundraising.
(5) Conduct various fundraising initiatives.
(6) Prepare proposals and process grant applications; submit Fund Utilisation Certificates (FUCs) and progress reports; and coordinate volunteering engagements with corporate employees.
(7) Develop strategies to encourage new or increased contributions.
(8) Conduct research to identify the goals, net worth, history of charitable donations or other data related to potential donors.
(9) Create or update the donor database with complete donor profiling.
(10) Identify and build relationships with potential donors.
(11) Monitor budgets, expenses and progress reports for corporate donors to ensure alignment with legal documents such as Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A master's degree will be an added advantage.
Experience:
(1) 4-5 years’ experience in corporate fundraising in an NGO;
(2) Prior experience in proposal and concept-note writing;
(3) Strong understanding of the CSR domain and latest trends;
(4) Good presentation skills, including preparation of PowerPoint presentations.
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Excellent communication skills in English. Applicants must have significant and proven writing skills;
(2) Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and the internet;
(3) Change orientation;
(4) Execution orientation;
(5) Operational excellence;
(6) Passion to serve;
(7) Relationship building.
Child and Youth Safeguarding Commitment:
The incumbent must commit to the organization's Child and Youth Safeguarding Policy and ensure its implementation in all aspects and activities.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross compensation for this position is in the range of INR 8 to 10 lacs per annum. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
