1. POSITION VACANT: Associate Director – Programs (Public Health Research), International Non-governmental Organization (INGO), New Delhi
2. ORGANISATION BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected INGO working in the areas of advancing reproductive health and rights.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Associate Director – Programs (Public Health Research) (ADP-PHR) shall undertake the following responsibilities:
Key Job Responsibilities:
(A) Project Planning and Implementation:
(1) Design and develop public health research project plans, with responsibility for their effective execution;
(2) Develop comprehensive work plans for data collection and compilation, identifying the resources required and monitoring progress.
(B) Knowledge Management, Documentation and Dissemination:
(1) Work with the team to understand the status of Quality of Care (QOC) within the private sector with a special focus on healthcare facilities. This shall include reviewing QOC frameworks, and outlining quality indicators and markers for measuring and benchmarking;
(2) Synthesize learnings from previous models of engagement with the chosen private sector entity, to understand successful and unsuccessful approaches. Disseminate the project’s knowledge internally and externally with stakeholders and develop a list of recommendations on potential interventions to improve QOC in the private sector.
(C) External Partnerships:
(1) Identify and engage with a wide range of private sector partners and stakeholders including donors, FOGSI, marketing agencies, and private establishments, providing RMNCH support and care to understand perceptions around QOC;
(2) Estimate the potential impact of engagement with these providers and organize strategic consultation/ meetings/ workshops with key stakeholders/ experts and partners.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Masters’ in Public Health, Management, or related subjects.
Experience:
Applicants must have 10-15 years of experience in managing development and/or consulting research projects in the health sector.
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Good understanding of the healthcare sector in the country;
(2) Adept at stakeholder management;
(3) Possess excellent communication skills;
(4) Basic understanding of research methodologies and the ability to read, interpret, and present data;
(5) Demonstrate strategic thinking and analytical skills to synthesize and draw conclusions from research findings;
(6) A dynamic and self-motivated professional.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross compensation for the position has been budgeted at Rs. 25-30 lacs per annum. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
The selected candidate shall be offered a full-time consultancy appointment for a period of one year, renewable thereafter, based on continuing need and project funding.
6. LOCATION: New Delhi (Hybrid). The position requires travel 30% of the time.
