3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Reporting to the Communications Head, the Digital Engagement Specialist (DES) shall play a crucial role in executing the communication team’s digital marketing and content amplification strategy. This includes driving brand awareness through engagement across social and other media and supporting internal/ external communications.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

 

I. Program Communications Support

 

The role involves the active provision of communications support to flagship programmes and projects of the organization in the clean energy space.

 

Responsibilities include:

(1) Developing and implementing communication strategies and plans enabling the accomplishment of programme goals;

(2) Coordinating engagement activities for programme members, partners and stakeholders and ensuring effective collaboration;

(3) Communicating programme goals to stakeholders through various digital platforms;

(4) Managing programme resources, including funding and knowledge resources;

(5) Planning and organizing stakeholder engagement and thought leadership-building activities.

 

II. Online Presence

 

(1) Drive programme and brand awareness through content and engagement across social media with emphasis On LinkedIn and Twitter (now X);

(2) Design and implement campaigns on social channels;

(3) Curate social media analytics to guide organic and paid campaigns;

(4) Share outcomes of social listening and conversations on online communities;

(5) Execute the communication team’s digital marketing and content amplification strategy;

(6) Collaborate with agencies and in-house teams for various projects.

 

III. Communications

 

(1) Ensure organizational websites are updated;

(2) Perform quality control checks on content;

(3) Contribute to web projects, user experience improvements, and content planning;

(4) Work on SEO and SEM optimization in collaboration with the technical team;

(5) Provide writing and editing support for written and visual communications;

(6) Compile and edit newsletters, project collateral, and other materials;

(7) Support the development and dissemination of press releases, articles, and blogs.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualification

(1) The applicant must be a graduate/ post-graduate in Communications, or Development, or Environmental Studies, or Energy, or other related fields;

(2) Graduates in other disciplines with relevant experience shall also be considered.

 

Experience

(1) Three to five years of experience in Social Media Marketing, and Digital Content, with a strong orientation to LinkedIn, X, etc.;

(2) Experience in stakeholder, partner and donor engagement, including helping convene and organize virtual and real-life workshops, conferences and events;
(3) Prior experience in the Social Sector, especially Climate Change, Energy or Environment, shall be an advantage.

 

Skills and Competencies

(1) Expertise in driving brand awareness through well-crafted social media campaigns;

(2) Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to foster effective collaboration;

(3) Exhibits excellent organizational skills with a proactive and forward-thinking approach;

(4) Proficient in utilizing MS Office applications to enhance workflow efficiency;

(5) Skilful in prioritizing tasks effectively, delivering results within tight timelines;

(6) Highly motivated with a positive attitude, showcasing exceptional multitasking abilities;

(7) In-depth understanding of environmental/ developmental issues including current trends in the field.

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
