2. ORGANISATION BACKGROUND:

Make-A-Wish Foundation is the largest and only wish-granting organization in India and dedicated to granting wishes of children between the ages of 3 and 18 years, living with life-threatening illnesses, irrespective of their socio-economic status, caste, race or religion.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the CEO, the Communications Manager shall be assisting in developing and executing strategies to strengthen organisation’s brand to the public. S/he will create, manage, and execute public relations and social media campaigns that increase public awareness and engagement.
Key Deliverable:
(1) Develop and execute detailed social media strategies and plans with clear objectives;
(2) Research and draft compelling news stories, articles, blog posts, Q&As, social media posts and other materials;
(3) Manage social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc;
(4) Develop and manage creative content for social media and other online platforms;
(5) Create, monitor, and manage campaigns on social media platforms;
(6) Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with partners, key influencers, and other stakeholders through social media.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification
Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree/ post-graduate diploma in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing.
Experience:
(1) Minimum 1-2 years of experience in communications;
(2) Freshers with relevant qualification and excellent communication skills are encouraged to apply;
(3) Prior experience of working with the development sector shall be preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Proactive, innovative approach and ability to reprioritize actions regularly;
(2) Excellent written and proofreading skills with a high level of attention to detail;
(3) Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
(4) Excellent knowledge of social media best practices;
(5) Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
(6) Knowledge of content management systems.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive and ranges from Rs. 4 to 6 lacs per annum. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
