1. POSITION(S) VACANT: Assistant Managers- Individual Fundraising (AM-IFR), International Not-for-Profit Organization, New Delhi, and Mumbai (2 vacancies)

 

2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected, international, not-for-profit organization, that works in the areas of nature conservation and environmental protection.

 

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Reporting to the Manager- Face to Face/ Door to Door, the Assistant Managers- Individual Fundraising (AM-IFR) shall be responsible for building relationships with prospective donors and clients across different sectors and categories, to scale up Face-to-Face and Door to Door fundraising activities, for the organization.

 

The post-holders must have a thorough understanding of the individual fundraising ecosystem, and the ability to effectively recruit, lead, train and develop a robust team of 15-20 fundraisers, following flexible and innovative approaches, for achieving the target of INR 2 crores annually.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

(1) Lead a designated team of fundraising executives to generate funds from individual donors;

(2) Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to increase philanthropic support from individuals;

(3) Manage, develop, and coach fundraising executives to meet desired targets;

(4) Lead site operations for raising funds from existing sources, as well as continuously identifying and maturing new funding sources with potential;

(5) Effectively convey the organization’s mission, vision, and programs to potential donors;

(6) Organize fundraising events/ campaigns while overseeing teams of volunteers;

(7) Coordinate with Outreach Officer to approach corporates, malls, RWAs and/or the equivalent, to seek and obtain permission to put up kiosks and solicit donations from employees, shoppers, and residents;

(8) Establish relationships with prospective donors and clients across different sectors and categories.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualification

Applicants must have a Masters’ degree in Management, or other relevant fields.

 

Experience

(1) Four to six years of individual fundraising experience with reputed organizations, preferably in the development sector;

(2) Demonstrated track record of leading a team of 15-20 fundraisers for achieving the target of INR 2 crores annually.

 

Skills and Competencies

(1) Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills, with demonstrated ability to talk and listen to people and build rapport;

(2) Passion and strong desire to support and positively impact social cause;

(3) A creative and innovative thinker, with the courage to explore and adopt new processes and practices and inspire others to do so;

(4) Strong work ethic;

(5) Work well independently as well as part of a team and require minimal direction;

(6) Sound knowledge of the charity sector.

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

Gross compensation budgeted for the position ranges from Rs. 6 to 9 lacs per annum, excluding incentives that could improve gross compensation by 30% depending on the achievement of targets. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
