4. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Multiple mid and junior level vacancies have arisen with SAMS for Talent Analysts in its Executive Search Practice (TA-ESP).

 

TA-ESPs shall support SAMS’ senior recruiters by mapping, pipelining and identifying passive talent for senior roles arising with clients, using a mix of research techniques and tools, and accessing multiple information resources, including proprietary databases.

 

The position provides excellent opportunities for acquiring in-depth understanding of India’s social sector, apart from teamwork, innovation, interacting with India’s leading not-for-profit organizations, and large numbers of outstanding public health and development professionals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Active participation in the formulation of talent search strategies for a wide range of social sector positions, in consultation with SAMS senior recruiters;

(2) Engagement with all aspects of the talent search process, including the creation of compelling position pitches to motivate candidates to apply, and development of talent pipelines;

(3) Developing a full understanding of the research needs for mandates awarded to SAMS;

(4) Executing research for candidate identification and sourcing; Developing appropriate candidate “target” lists, using online information resources, as well as proprietary and subscription- based databases;

(5) Participating in kick-off meetings and briefing calls with clients;

(6) Leading internal processes for outreach to potential candidates during search, informing SAMS senior recruiters about progress made and issues faced;

(7) Gathering market intelligence and tracking the movement of key talent, including the early identification and flagging of industry, functional and/or organizational trends impacting the supply of talent;

(8) Updating SAMS research repositories, turning prior client submissions and reports into reusable templates, that can be added to the company’s knowledge systems;

(9) Capturing and maintaining accurate, client and candidate information by sector and sub-domain on SAMS’ knowledge systems;

(10) Informing SAMS’ management about potential business development opportunities identified through the execution of search exercises and supporting the company in their conversion.

 

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications:

(1) Graduate in any stream;

(2) Applicants with an MBA and/or Post Graduate Diploma/ Degree in HR/ Personnel/ Management/ Social Sciences, from a reputed institution, shall be at an advantage.

 

Experience: 
(1) 0-2 years’ of experience in the conduct of business research and generation of reports on key sectoral developments;

(2) Fresh graduates with exceptional analytical and research skills shall be considered;
(3) Exposure to the HR function with emphasis on talent search is desirable; 
(4) Prior exposure to the public health, development and/or CSR sectors, shall be an advantage.

6. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

SAMS benchmarks staff salaries with those of progressive employers in the social sector. The salary offered shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history of the selected candidate.

 

7. NATURE OF APPOINTMENT:

 

Successful candidates shall be offered regular, full-time employment with SAMS, pursuant to successful completion of a six-month probationary period. Candidates seeking 6 to 12-month internships with SAMS, shall also be considered.

 

8. LOCATION: All positions are based at New Delhi. Candidates may be required to travel periodically to support recruitment projects awarded to SAMS.
