1. POSITION(S) VACANT: District Manager, Not-for-profit Organization, Madhya Pradesh

 

2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected, Not-for-profit Organization (NPO), focusing on mobilising communities for child education with focus on girl child education in India, to ensure that all children are in school and learning well.

 

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Reporting to the State Manager, the District Manager (DM) shall be responsible for the planning, development, and implementatihon the education programs in partnerships with government bodies and other stakeholders.

 

S/he shall also ensure that all operational needs viz. budget, quality and processes are met for the program to run in the most efficient way possible to achiev the organisation goals.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

(1) Provide support in program design and development; Also provide support in developing annual plan;

(2) Develop field level strategies and processes in alignment with program for overall project objectives;

(3) Guide the functional support resources at District level;

(4) Collaborate with state goerntment and other program funcion for program planning and implementation;

(5) Liaise with government and other stakeholders at district and block level for fostering the program implementation;

(6) Conduct field visits of current and new donors at operational level;

(7) Tracking of donor requirement and ensure submission of reports as per the donor requirement;

(8) Develop work plan, budget allocation plan as per the project activities; Work closely with the finance and accounts team in developing program wise budgets;

(9) Periodically review and assess the performance of all operations, organise meetings and manage the periodic performance assessment process;

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications
Applicants must have a Masters’ Degree in Education, Management, International Development or Social Sciences.

 

Experience
(1) Minimum five years of experience, of which two years in a leadership role managing multiple functions at district level;

(2) Experience of working with international NGO is strongly preferred.

 

Essential Skills and Competencies

(1) Good understanding of the education policy and program;

(2) Exceptional project management, training, writing, public speaking, data analysis skills;.

(4) Strong program / technical and budget management skills, planning, reporting, monitoring and evaluation skills;

(5) Strong written and oral communication skills, effective in representation and liaison with external stakeholders;

(6) Excellent collaboration, problem solving skills, ability to prioritise a diverse and demanding workload;

(7) Ability to multitask and perform under stress situation;

(8) Striving to lead by performance excellence;

(9) Willingness for travel and relocation.
