Data Manager

1. POSITION(S) VACANT: Data Manager, IPE Global, USAID- VRIDDHI, New Delhi

2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

The USAID-VRIDDHI project, focuses on scaling up interventions in Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A) in select states across India.
IPE Global is leading implementation of this high impact project in the states of Assam, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Jharkhand, Odisha and Uttarakhand, and has also established a national team for providing technical assistance to Government of India on health system strengthening and innovations in RMNCH+A, for the purpose.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Deliverables:
(1) Support management of national level project database under the guidance and supervision of Senior Advisor, M&E and coordinate with other National team members as appropriate;
(2) Provide support in preparation, maintenance and updation of district profiles as required by the project;
(3) Support/ coordinate /carry out data collection, data entry, data management, analysis and communication of data to multiple stakeholders;
(4) Support, monitor and implement survey / evaluation and other studies carried out under the project;
(5) Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist in preparing relevant reports;
(6) Verify accuracy of the data entered by performing periodic data quality checks;
(7) Assis analysis of program implementation data for improving quality of reported data and to enhance data use for program planning and monitoring;
(8) Support any other data related activities as required by the project.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification:
Graduation in Statistics/ Population Studies/ Economics or related subjects.

Experience:
(1) Minimum five years of experience in supporting national level M&E activities in Public Health;
(2) Knowledge of donor supported projects preferably USAID will be an added advantage

Skills and Competencies:
(1) Proficient in testing and managing large database for health sector interventions;
(2) Good knowledge of qualitative and quantitative M&E practices;
(3) Sound knowledge of HMIS and MCTS and use it for analytical purposes;
(4) Knowledge and experience in supporting development of survey tools and monitoring survey implementation for ensuring data quality;
(5) Good presentation, communication, and negotiation skills;
(6) Ability to adapt to diverse educational and cultural backgrounds and maintain a high standard of personal conduct.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
