Chief Executive Officer

Ashden India Renewable Energy Collective (AIREC), New Delhi

1. POSITION VACANT:  Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ashden India Renewable Energy Collective (AIREC), New Delhi

A Section 25 company registered in 2013, the Ashden India Renewable Energy Collective (AIREC) is a network of more than 20 successful Indian organisations, working in the area of clean energy, using technologies that include biomass, solar and wind, to foster sustainable energy access, sensitive to the energy and development needs of poor communities.

AIREC members are all Ashden UK Award winners and have come together to speak with one voice to policymakers and financial institutions. The aim is to help scale-up the market for renewable energy in India.

AIREC has access to a vast amount of knowledge and experience in delivering decentralised renewable energy which can help guide changes to energy policy needed to improve the availability of energy to millions in India. AIREC draws on its combined experience to develop policy recommendations for the government and work with financial institutions, to develop scalable solutions in the above areas.

AIREC now needs to be built up to a self-sufficient and secure organisation, seen as a leader in the renewable energy sector. Familiarity with some of the members of AIREC and good contacts in the field would be an advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior, renewable energy professional, to lead a confederation of like-minded reputed organisations and impact policy making in the renewable energy space.
